Eradication Development Progress 2/11/2013

Hello!

Today I finally figured out the issue I was having with the spawner. I am working on getting a pre-alpha out by the end of either this week or the next. I have the main gameplay elements down, now it’s all about level creation and content creation. In the pre-alpha, the assets will not belong to me, but eventually I will switch them out with my own content.

Eradication Development Progress 2/6/2013

Hello everyone!

I think you would be pleased to know that development has undergone complete reform on ‘Eradication’ and everything seems to be working back on schedule, though there have been some changes.

The biggest change is that 'Eradication’ has switched from an unreal engine game to a unity3d game! Some people will find this to be a very pleasant change, considering unity is a much more refined indie development engine.

I am still learning, but I am moving exponentially faster than in UDK. Updates will be coming more regularly from now on, so from me to you, vous voir la prochaine fois!

Hello, I know I have not updated this page in a long time, but until i can get a new graphics card, I am completely stuck. Once I replace the one I am using, development will be back on track.

Eradication Development Progress 9/3/2012

I’m sorry i have not been able to update on the development of the game recently, my internet went out around two weeks ago and we just got it back today.

In other news, I’ve been working with my teacher with something in photoshop script so I have been slightly neglecting the game and the unrealscript. I have though, been creating models and art assets for the game in my spare time. I will be releasing one or two of those later,

Eradication Development Progress 8/20/2012

First of all, i’m sorry for not being able to update the progress for a few days, School has just started back up and the internet has been out.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, Development on the game itself is at a halt until i can upgrade my graphics card, so in the meantime I’ve been writing some metalcore soundtracks for the game. I’ve got a cheap rig going straight into cubase 5. It seems to work well for the alpha soundtracks, I’m not being too picky for the time being.

Eradication Development Progress 8/13/2012

Today i worked on skinning of the first custom weapon for Eradication. It is a sword that is going to be used by one of the NPCs in the game. The final version of the game is going to have many variations of enemies and weapons to be used against you, and by you, but until then, here is a preview of that very first weapon model!

There is some quality issues to be worked on, but the diffuse mapping seems to be going very well! I am also in contact with someone to help me work out a melee system for the enemies, I will keep you guys updated over the next few days!

Eradication Development Progress 8/11/2012

Currently i am trying to find a way to resolve my graphics bug inside of UDK July and May build, March works alright, but does have some odd texture glitches that make it hard to work with.

I need money for a new graphics card extremely bad so i can keep working on the development of this. In the meantime i’ll keep working in mudbox and trying to find ways to make a menu/ui. Hopefully by christmas we will have a working beta! In the meantime, hebben een goede dag!

Eradication Development Progress 8/7/2012

Today i finally got the July update of UDK installed and downloaded, and i come to realize that the same graphics error that was present in the May UDK is still happening.

Until this error for low-end nvidia graphics cards is fixed, or i get a new card, i can’t do any work.

Until i get this sorted out, Lebewohl!

Eradication Development Progress 8/6/2012

I have not made any single bit of progress today because i’ve been waiting for the July update of UDK to download. My internet speed is complete garbage, and until i get a faster connection, i’m going to have to deal with 6 hour downloads for 1.8gb of data each month.

Eradication Development Progress 8/5/2012

Over the past two days i have been working on a way to get a quake-engine feel inside of Unreal 3. It is mostly just a trial and error process. I was having trouble with the code from the spawn system so i moved on to trying to get bunny hopping implemented. That’s everything i have been doing, once i have made some significant progress a video will be recorded showing off the quake3 feel inside of the game.
